Touristy, busy, lines...the sights and smells! An ounce of patience before a cup of that Joe is required! Always love going here on a lazy weekend morning. I've finally learned NOT to wear a black shirt! The Coffee is strong, evidenced by the porcelain stained mugs. The Beignets are world class. If you don't get powdered sugar all over you, your just not eating them right! Yup, coffee and beignets. Simple. Its a front porch to people watch, take in the horse and carriages, tourists, musicians (Many Gratuitous Versions of When the Saints Go Marching In)...all walks on the River Walk. You can go once to say you were there but chances are you'll be back!

Great place, but a little over rated. Its very cramped and muggy. Of course it's a must do in New Orleans though, the beignets were beautiful

I think you should go to this place because is a tradition in New Orleans, but don't think that all of those people in there is enjoying something amazing, it's just cofee and beignet and nothing more, those are good though. The service is not too friendly at all.

So ... you must stop and get some beignets or you will have failed your visit to the Big Easy. You can either stand in line for a to-go order or stalk some open-air tables and sit down. The waitress we had was so nice!! Truly, this is some good stuff. (As an aside, there are two really small bathrooms and a long line . .. you can head out, down the street and walk a few blocks up to a public restroom with a lot more stalls!).

Always a must stop for anyone visiting the French Quarter. The food is always yummy. Do not expect anything fancy and you will always have a sticky table LOL!! This is all part of the atmosphere. They ONLY take cash so be prepared.
