We went on a Wednesday night right at 10:00 as the Uptown Jazz Orchestra was going on stage. I was worried that there wouldn't be any good seating left because I'd read that it's a cozy venue, but there were great seats on the balcony. The experience was a lot of fun, and I'd have gone back another night if we'd had the time.

The service wasn't too good, the steak that was supposed to be well done was still bleeding inside and charred outside. There was no seasoning whatsoever.
It was too expensive for 34.95$.

We tried to get into Adolpho's and were turned away - so we opted across the street to Snug Harbor and was pleasantly surprised. The wait was short and well worth it. The service was good even with the wait staff busy. The food was very good with all of our table of eight satisfied. We had steak to seafood and were not disappointed. Music is always an added bonus to this part of town. We would recommend this restaurant to all.

Visited this restaurant with my 17 year old son. It wasn't our first choice but the place we wanted to go to was closed for Easter. While he liked his yellowfin tuna dish, I found the broiled shrimp to be tasteless. It was supposed to have been cooked in garlic but did not taste that at all. I had to add salt to the meal to make it palatable. The price per meal was out of proportion to the taste. Also, they offer sour cream for your baked potato without telling you there is an extra cost. The one good thing I do have to say is they pour a decent size glass of wine for the $7.00 you pay.

Snug Harbor is one of the truly great jazz venues in the country. We heard the Astral Project who are among the most accomplished modern jazz musicians in the city. Snug Harbor is a true listening club. You pay your (reasonable) cover charge, get a drink, and listen to the music. This is not a place where talking over the music is tolerated. And why would you after paying your cover and having great musicians performing.
Snug Harbor also has a restaurant attached to and separate from its music room. It serves good quality food at reasonable prices and is fine place to eat while cruising Frenchmen Street.
