Beautiful architecture. Formal, attentive, and well-informed waitstaff. Happy to explain dishes that were out-of-the-ordinary. Very nice food.

We are NOLA natives and this was our first visit to Tommy's. OMG, exceeded expectations. We shared a mixed baked oyster appetizer, mostly had veal special dinner, and had a ridiculously good chocolate pecan pie for desert. Highly recommend. Our waiter was awesome as well. You will not be disappointed.

I was torn between giving it an average and very good rating. I just couldn't give it a very good. It is above average though. Loved that the bartender made us some fantastic raspberry press cocktails. So many places get that drink so wrong! Ordered the mussels marinara and oysters Rockefeller for appetizers. The marinara sauce had a really nice kick to it, but I'm just not really a fan of mussels. My two girlfriends loved them. The first oyster I had was very tender, but the second was very rough. I felt the herbs in the topping were wayyyy to overpowering for my taste. The best thing was our main course which was a chicken dish with a tomato sauce and pasta. It was a simple and delicious...like authentic Italian food. We all loved it! I would definitely return to Tommy's to try other dishes. It really has a wonderful atmosphere and our server was laid back but very attentive at the same time.

Recommended by the Renaissance Hotel 1/2 block away, this local gem has a regular clientele, a cadre of long-term waiters and the most amazing New Orleans' cuisine you can imagine. Dinner for two was not rushed, with excellent wine and food recommendations from our waiter, Sam. We started with the Oysters Bienville, shared a bottle of the Frances Coppola Claret and was amazed with the fish special and the Seafood Stuffed Eggplant (Shrimp, crabmeat & crawfish baked with eggplant & fine herbs). We finished this fabulous meal with the local bread pudding, shared of course. With tip and tax, just under $150 for 2. Well worth it and a must visit when in New Orleans. You won't be disappointed.
