Stopped in for a quick snack just before they closed. Was later than we expected getting onto New Orleans, but this was a restaurant I looked at before getting there. When I heard it was owned by the Brennan family I had to stop to check out my favorite desert Banana's Foster. Since we were so late we were able to sit outside and soak up the ambiance of all the people walking around. Ordered the Barbecue Shrimp and a couple of cocktails. Loved the BBQ Shrimp and I had to ask for more bread to sop up all the sauce. The only disappointment was what I wanted in the first place the Bananas Foster. It was ok, but I have had much better. Across from us two gals had both Creme Brulee and Bananas Foster and they thought the Creme Brulee was much better. Oh well I still enjoyed the time spent there

We stumbled onto this place while visiting New Orleans for a work trip. The food was OK, the service was alright. This is definitely a 'touristy' place and it showed in the food and service. Nothing awful to say, just OK all around.

We liked the friendly staff and service, felt like royalty. When the food was brought to us, they know who ordered what with out checking with us and every one was correct, and the desserts and the drinks, and there were 9 of us in our party.

Service was a bit slow but they were very busy both times we went and the second time we had 11 in the party and it was a Friday night and we were in no rush anyway. It was across the road from the Sheraton where we were staying.

We were looking for a delicious meal near Bourbon Street and found it at the Palace Cafe! We started with the crab cheesecake appetizer and some of the delicious French bread, and the meal ended with a peanut butter cheesecake large enough for three of us. The service team was fantastic, and Matt our server gave us great menu recommendations. Our teenaged daughter was with us, and the Palace Cafe was a perfect place for a fancy meal without the strict dress code.
It is unusual to go to a restaurant where the managers and kitchen manager are on the floor taking care of every table like they do at the Palace Cafe.
