We have eaten here a couple of times. This time, we just had a light meal...an appetizer and salad but we were pleased with the food and good service.

We went go for an early dinner and we all agreed the food was fantastic. The service was wonderful. It is a bit pricey, however.

Stopped for lunch at the Palace Cafe on Canal Street. Restaurant has a great 1890's style interior. Place was busy and we were seated upstairs, although we might have opted to sit outside. I had the crab-meat cheesecake with the blue cheese salad. OMG! Cheesecake was wonderful. Salad was great. Highly recommended!

We had dinner at the Palace Cafe and experienced a lovely meal with stellar service. We ate inside but kept commenting that they outside seating would be great for a drink and people watching! I had the filet which was cooked to perfection and just as tasty. The prices weren't unreasonable but since my company was footing the bill I didn't pay too much attention other than to make sure we didn't go over the per diem! We would have loved to try the bananas foster but we were too full to attempt it! Ambiance was good, we sat on the first floor near the grand staircase to the upper floor and a great view into the open kitchen area. Definatley worth a return visit!

Perhaps I expected more from a Brennan's restaurant, and this was very nice casual. The food was good, but didn't blow me away. So a bit disappointed.
