“Try the BBQ shrimp”
Reviewed October 3, 2012

Yes, it's messy, but they give you a bib and wet towels. Best of all, the dish is delicious! The shrimp are large and perfectly seasoned. Make sure you have enough bread to sop up some sauce. The service at Mr. B's can get a bit dicey when they are very busy, but the food is worth the wait. Let them know in advance if you need to ruch to an event so they can make sure your food comes out promptly.

“Best meal in NOLA”
Reviewed September 30, 2012

We came here for sunday jazz brunch and were not disappointed. Although we'd already had a very serviceable brunch at Commander's Palace two days earlier, the food here was better here in our opinion. We showed up at 10:30 without a reservation and got in with no trouble. We had great Brennan's service from Manuel. I got the BBQ shrimp based on a photo someone had posted here and it was the best shrimp I've ever had. My mother got the shrimp and grits, which was creamy and delicious. The pecan pie was fabulous. a really good trio played next to us and my daughter said she felt like she was in a Woody Allen movie. The musicians were solid and no doubt some of the best in NOLA. I'd come back here in a heartbeat.

Rabbit dish is tasty, but filet nothing special. Come for the ambiance, and lets face it, for NO its good food, discerning palates don't come to NO for food

“When in New Orleans, Give Yourself a Treat”
Reviewed September 29, 2012

The food was really very good, and the service was excellent. In addition, the ambiance is very welcoming. The prices are a fairly high but the eating experience makes it worth the money. Give yourself a treat and try Mr. B's when you visit the French Quarter.

“Yummm!”
Reviewed September 27, 2012

What a pleasant dinner experience! Our waiter was willing to give his suggestions after our request. Our dinner was excellent. We asked for an appetizer portion of the famous BBQ shrimp even though it was listed as a main course. No problem! Spicier than we thought, although warned by our waiter. We had the fried soft-shelled crabs with crabmeat-WOW! Excellent!! The bread pudding for dessert was better than average. wine prices were reasonable. We will be looking forward to another dinner there on our next visit to New Orleans We would have liked to make reservations thru Open Table but they were not listed..
