It's very quaint and lovely. But, unless you are greeted upon arrival you can feel like you are disturbing a party. I saw this after our experience and watching those that arrived later. However, hang in.......the staff eventually warms. Plus, the food is over the top yummy. We only wanted appetizers. The boudin balls and crab cakes were so delicious that we wished we could've eaten more. Yummo!

We decided to have dinner at the Louisiana Bistro while spending the night in New Orleans and also the good trip advisor reviews. We did make reservations (highly recommended) as this restaurant is rather small. We were seated immediately and were greeted by the chef. Service was excellent and our waiter was always friendly and attentive to our requests. My wife had crawfish and gumbo for the first time and she was very satisfied and happy and satisfied with the taste and preparation of the dishes. In all, once again, we had a great meal thanks to Trip Advisor members. Keep up the good work!

The concierge told us about this little gem of a restaurant. Small, intimate, crowded...everything you expect of a French bistro...we loved it. We started with the wedge salad (excellent), then the crab cakes (best we've ever had) and then the Drum Pontchartrain (oh m God...unbelievable!). I wanted to eat here every night! It was fantastic...definitely make plans to eat at Louisiana Bistro the next time you're in New Orleans.

We only found this place by using my trusty Trip Advisor app and whittling down the thousand odd restaurants in New Orleans to close by to where we are staying and Cajun/Creole. Up popped Louisiana Bistro. Bonus was it was the next block to where we were staying.

Small and cosy, attentive personable staff and the food.......YUM! Oh how I love the South and especially the food! No where else in the world can they replicate it but in the South itself! You can tell the chef here has very high standards, and it shows.

Another bonus was the Gay Pride parade came past during our meal, and there was no problem for us all to file out to watch, then come back in to finish off a very enjoyable evening for us!

I'm going to miss this town! Thanks for the memories!

Restaurant is small and very intimate. It is quiet so you can actually talk to your friends. We were seated immediately and the staff was vary welcoming and knowledgable and answered all of our questions about the menu and wine list. Every appetizer was fantastic, and the main entrees were outstanding as well. We had a party of 5 and we all ordered different things, and everyone's food was perfect. Portions were larger than I expected from a fine dining place as well. I would return for sure
