the nth degree in order to truly experience the food and down and dirty ambiance of this restaurant. And once you've overloaded your taste buds on the Lobster Mac & Cheese (yes i said lobster) then either soak in the local talent on the back porch and courtyard - with bar, I might add, or get your rockfest/jam session on just a stone's throw at the other end of the restaurant.
Simply put, If you're looking for a top end chophouse, this isn't the place for you. But if you're looking for a place to kickback for a reasonable price with a side of entertainment then start here and work your way out.

“Try the gospel brunch”
Reviewed August 14, 2013

Recently, my wife and I went to the gospel brunch at the House of Blues. The pre-show signer was really good, the food was ok, and the entertainment was top notch. As buffets go, the prime rib was good, the bread pudding was good, and the eggs, bacon, and sausage were ok. They do serve mimosas with the brunch. Keep in mind that the omlett station is upstairs-they have lump crab meat along with the usual ingredients. The show is a band - keyboards, guitar, drums, sax, three backup singers and one lead singer. Great entertainment. If you go to NOLA often but have not been here, try it!

“Neat place. Well done.”
Reviewed August 12, 2013 via mobile

Great atmosphere from the street into and including the decor of the restaurant. It has the feel of a back alley kind of place even though you know that it is artificial. My service was very friendly and competent. The macaroni and cheese side was very well done and the corn bread appetizers is delicious.
