Enjoyed a few beers here listening to some live jazz music, ordered the new york strip and a crab-stuffed shrimp which were both very nice.

My husband and I enjoyed the CCB... very active place...but we sat toward the back and it was tolerable. Tried thier micro brew beer samples, our server gave a quick lesson and made reccomendations. We tried a dish featuring a fish called Red Drum.....I assume this is local as I haven't seen this anywhere but New Orleans...quite lovely. Their Crab Cake was AWESOME ! We will definately return upon our next visit to NOLA.

The Crescent City Brewery is on the edge of the quarter and in a heavy tourist area, but for all that is not an overtly tourist spot. It's larger than you first think with seating on two levels. The throughput of diners is good and seating is fast. The reception and wait staff are fast, friendly and efficient.
The ambiance is good, with a view of the brew tanks, to prove it's a working brewery.
There is live music some times and this is not overly intrusive.
The range of in-house produced beers is not huge, but the beers are good. The Pilsner was excellent, and one option is a tasting selection.
The food is fine. Not fine dining, and you can have a better meal in New Orleans, but this is certainly good and fits with the brewery image.
Well worth a visit, particularly if you're a fan of beer.

We had originally walked past this brewhouse as we r not drinkers but went because we had a coupon and were very impressed with the two fish dishes that we had.
Red fish with mango sauce was delightful and grouper with pitta bread was very tasty (hubby).
Music added to the atmosphere ... Would definitely go back.

Very well located on Decatur near the Natchez steamboot terminal. Try the oyster trio as an appetizer. Delicious. Great live jazz. They also brew their own beers. I tasted them all but being a Belgian I have to say that nothing compares to our beers.
