“Great location, but doesn't overcompensate the bad oysters”
Reviewed March 9, 2013

The hostess was unsure of her duties. The waitress tried to make up for the lack of service by the hostess. The chilled oysters were dirty. I was completely grossed out. I love oysters. I tried the oysters at every place we stopped to eat. I couldn't not believe how much sludge they had in them.
Not impressed with the place at all. The waitress took them off our bill and we gave her a good tip for taking up space in her section, but then went to another restaurant. Go to acme oyster house or the royal house. Both have fantastic food & service.

“great beer”
Reviewed March 8, 2013

This brew pub offers excellent beer and the food is good too. They had shucked oysters, nice not to have everything deep fried. Service and seating was good. I had the sampler flight of beers and my favourite was the wheat beer which was surprising, I usually prefer dark beers.

“Great food, music and more.”
Reviewed March 8, 2013

The food was great. We had a table upstairs on the balcony overlooking Canal Street. Everyone in our party was well satisfied with their meal! Fish, steaks, appetizers...all were delicious and well presented. Enjoy their micro-brew beers while you are there too.

“Great food, poor beer selection”
Reviewed March 7, 2013 via mobile

Wonderful good selection, fresh and well executed - as you would expect in NOLA. Our server needed some training in the menu items and beers. Thought it odd that a brew pub didn't have IPAs, but don't think he knew what an IPA was.

“Find a Coupon & Enjoy!”
Reviewed March 4, 2013

We found a "buy one - get one free" coupon online and decided to visit for dinner. We were not disappointed. There were some intersting appetizers on the menu, but the coupon is limited to entrees. My wife and I both decided on the mushrooms stuffed with crab. A good choice! We received 5 stuffed mushrooms along with fresh asparagus, all nicely presented. The base price was about $26, so the coupon brought it down to $13.

A live band was playing at the front of the restaurant, adding to the ambiance.

For our beer, we decided to share the 6 beer sampler at $9. The glasses are relatively small, but there are six of them. It was nice to taste the different flavors ranging from seasonal to dark.

Be aware that your bill will have the tip included. This is fine since the tip is based on what the bill would have been without the coupon. The waiters and waitresses deserve their tips!

Would we return here? Absolutely. it was a relaxing experience with good food!
