“Great Lunch and Prices”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 24, 2014 via mobile

Looking for a muffuletta for our first lunch in the French Quarter, we decided on the Maspero Cafe on Decatur. Wow, the sandwich was huge and delicious....really didn't need all the fries that came with it. Cool decor and great service.

“Great Value”

Under new management. Had the oyster platter, very sweet tasting. Came with fries and salad. Less than $35 for oysters and bottle of Italian pinot grigio, for party of two.

“Friendly service and yummy food”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 23, 2014

We were staying in the French quarter and this was near by and recommended by a local. It was busy but we didn't have to wait long for service and the waitress was friendly. First time trying the shrimp PO-boy and it was very yummy. Good value!

“Not terribly pleased”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 22, 2014 via mobile

I'm from Chicago, so maybe it's just a northern thing, but it really grosses me out when places do not de-vein their shrimp. I ordered a shrimp sandwich and was very displeased when I saw the black coming out of the shrimp. My sister had the muffalata which she loved, and the portions were huge for that. She also loved the $1 small daquaris you could have when you ate, but I was terribly disappointed with the vein-in shrimp. Maybe it's a northern thing? I don't know, but I was really looking forward to a po-boy and not happy with what I got.

“Looking for light lunch - share with others”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 18, 2014

Great little restaurant just out Jackson Square. Good Cajun dishes and full sandwich menu including some great Po Boys on New Orleans French Bread. Since a standard po-boy is about a foot long, you can share one and still get a good meal. My wife and I shared a fried shrimp po-boy which came with fries. The one shared sandwich made a just right light lunch. We both enjoyed it very much.
