“Credit card misuse!”
Reviewed August 27, 2011

An unauthorized charge was placed on our credit card in excess of $500. Phone calls/messages were ignored. Upon finally reaching manager, was bluntly informed that they refused to take any corrective action.
Credit card company suspended and finally rejected the bad charge. The process revealed that the unauthorized charge was placed on our card within minutes of the correct charge (a considerably lesser amount for which we had retained the receipt). A signature had also been placed on the bad charge (clearly not mine).
Recommendation: If you dine here, do NOT let credit card out of sight!!!

“Creme brulee was out of this world.”
Reviewed August 7, 2011

We had eaten dinner at another restaurant in town. My daughter really wanted creme brulee, so I looked on the internet for a place that served it. The lovely restaurant was filled with patrons. I explained that we had read about their creme brulee and asked if we could be seated for just a dessert and some drinks. The service was amazing. Then, came the dessert. It was the best creme brulee we have ever had. We sampled several on our trip. This was way above the others.

“Absolute gem!”
Reviewed July 27, 2011

we decided to eat here for lunch even after reading the mixed reviews... So glad we did! The place is romantic and quiet and the service is.awesome! We started with a mimosa, which was great, and a bloody mary. I had the burger that was huge and cooked to perfection! THE BEST burger ive ever had! My husband had the lamb and also thoight it divine! We finished with coffee (the best I had in new orleans and we drank coffee at muriels, commanders palace, cafe du monde, and mr bs) and chocolate creme brulee. Yummy! I suggest you go! The meal took an hour and a half... And its not really kid friendly but definately a great romantic gem.... Also if u need a place to walk into (with no reservations) this is a good bet... Its rt near bourbon st.

“If you want to treat yourself to an excellent meal, go here.”
Reviewed June 23, 2011

We loved the food, the place, the service. Not cheap, and more than $40 even if you just have drinks & main course, but well worth it. I had the scallops & gnocchi, cooked to perfection.

“Don't believe its Trip rating - It should be Number 1 in New Orleans!”
Reviewed May 23, 2011

This is the first time I've written a review on Trip Advisor but felt compelled to do so as the rating was only 45th in New Orleans. This place is very special and certainly belies its ranking. From the wonderful decor, to the fabulous food, to the excellent wine list (try the relatively inexpensive tempranillo which was as good as any over-priced Rioja I've ever had). The service was also as attentive and friendly as you could wish for without being over the top. We dined both here and at Irene's and although Irene's is pretty good, this won hands down. Just make sure you save enough room for one of their fabulous desserts.
