I would actually rate this as a 3 1/2. Burger was good. Baked potato was a nice change from French fries. Seemed like more of a local hangout than tourist attraction, which was a nice change!

Went with 2 other couples. Great air conditioned oasis with huge burgers. We all split meals. Not the best Ive ever had but very good. Drinks were a hit and very strong.

What a fabulous place to start or finish your evening out in the French Quarter! The hambugers are accompanied by a giant baked potato and their salads are huge. Always busy during dinner hour so plan accordingly. (best to hit before or after the 5-7pm rush) and watch out for the power of the house specialty drinks, they pack a punch!

Visited Port of call an evening, four adults and one baby. The place is a bit small for bringing in a stroller, although we managers it. Food was ok, but too much onion in cheeseburger with mushroom for my taste. Heavy food. Waitresses friendly but may be that they were also a bit tipsy/drunk??? It was really dark in the premises
Wouldnt go there again and if I'd known before hand, I would've chosen another restaurant (however port of call is more of a shack)

I had so many friends recommend this place for the "best" burger in NOLA. I have to say, I was pretty disappointed. Our burger was alright, but definitely not the best by any means. It was cooked well, but just didn't have that much flavor. I got the regular hamburger, so maybe the mushroom burgers are better? The baked potato was definitely the highlight of the meal....it was really good. My youngest daughter got pizza, which tasted more like school cafeteria pizza. The drinks were good too. However, there were tons of flies swarming around our food the entire time. Not too appetizing. Either way, we went and tried it, we just won't be back.
