I purchased a Sazerac at the Carousel Bar, but did not know that is was a such a small potent cocktail. Anyway after sipping on it for over 30 minutes, we wandered into the Acme Oyster House. The female bartender added two things to this drink and made it into the best cocktail ever! She was so kind to do that for me and she was the nicest woman ever that really took pride in her job. We had some appetizers and more drinks. It was fun and comfortable sitting at the bar. The food is good too! The people next to us had the grilled oysters and poboys, they looked amazing and according to them they were delicious!

We visited Acme on a Monday night-the best time to go, as we only had a 15 minute wait. We sampled the grilled oysters and the iced ones as well. both were very tasty, as was the Red Beans with sausage and rice. We'd do it again!

I was completely floored at the line up for this restaurant only to be disappointed at the overall food served. Service was prompt and courteous. I have heard that the po boy is great (which I didn't have), as well as lunches tend to be better.

We went to this resturant because l had heard so much about it and had to wait in line to get in and once we got sitted our waitress greeted us and got our drink orders but then got sitted with 4 other tables and she amazingly got our food out quickly and hot the oysters were small and they brought us some more l loved the soup of the day wish l could remember the name of the soup we also had the french fries with gravy only wished they had been hotter but we truly enjoyed our visit this wildly crowded fun resturant
