Our tour guide suggested going here for lunch. They are only open for lunch on Thursday-Saturday but the prices are very reasonable and the portions are HUGE! We shared a po-boy and a cup of gumbo and it was the perfect amount. The chicken andouille gumbo was to die for and the po-boy was the best we had our whole trip. It was deli style so order at the bar and they bring out the food. It was also paper plates and plastic silverware but we liked the laid back atmosphere of that!

You must try K. Paul's if you are in the Quarter. Walking distance from many hotels and I suggest making reservations. The service was good, the breads baked from the upstairs bakery were awesome and the meal was very good. Home of Chef Paul Prudhomme, who trained Emeril L. and the blackening technique. We enjoyed our meal. I had the bronzed chicken with salad and their special dressing. It was very good.

Only been to New Orleans twice and both times could not resist dining at K-Paul's! I know there are a slew of great restaurants in the Crescent City, but Paul Prudhomme never disappoints. Everything you put in your mouth is simply exquisite! Great wait staff that engages with you as much as you want and as little as you want. They are informative, knowledgeable, courteous and patient.

Make sure you make reservations for this place fills up fast . The food is rich and delicious although a little pricey- it is worth the cost. The staff is helpful and pleasant. All the selections vary daily so don't count on having the same thing twice. Even the bread basket is fresh and has quite a variety of mini muffins and fresh rolls. Try the fish selection of the day- we had drum and it was fabulous . The crawish and shrimp ettouffe was creamy and had a nice spice kick to it. We would visit again in a heartbeat-

I have always looked forward to eating at K-Paul's. Bottom line is my dream was fulfilled perfectly. I had breast of duck with shrimp in an amazing sauce. The plate was a huge portion and the flavors were amazing. The duck was tender and savory and the shrimp was fresh and juicy. The appetizer of gumbo was delicious and really spicy. My wife had fried oysters with dill sauce and she loved them. The bread was amazing! Loved the pecan muffins. The ambiance was perfect, the staff were friendly and our service was perfect. Great New Orleans experience!
