“No salt please”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 29, 2013

This is the finest food in the world bar none. If you even think about salting anything just leave because you don't know good food. Generous portions of different food is offered every day so no concern about getting bored with the menu. Be sure to have some whipped potatoes served on "trash". You won't forget to ask next time you come back, and you will be back! The economy is bad enough right now that the line is gone, and they do take reservations. You can even get a spot for one at the bar. The price is reasonable for first class food and the service is purely professional. This is a not to be missed place for me.

“Go for the appetizers and dessert!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 28, 2013 credit card Amex Card Member Review

The menu varies as all of their ingredients come in fresh everyday. I came here with friends per the recommendation at our hotel concierge. Make your reservations ahead of time! We were lucky to snag a Saturday night dinner reservation a day before.

Anyway, the appetizers were amazing. We ordered the gumbo, leek and mushroom soup, and the "dancing crablegs" and they did not disappoint! Probably the best gumbo I had throughout our whole trip. The flavors in each of the appetizers were incredible. For our entrees, we ordered the blackend drum filet and shrimp etoufee. The drum filet was on the saltier side, but the etoufee was seasoned well. Leave room for dessert because their bread pudding and creme brulee were delish!!

I would recommend trying a variety of the appetizers, sharing entrees (servings are pretty big), and then indulge in dessert!

“Loved the food!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 27, 2013

We arrived at 7:30 on a Thursday night - we had reservations and they were not too overly busy. I had a cup of chicken/Andouille gumbo that was outstanding. Enjoyed shrimp etoufee for entre with a nice bottle of wine. Every one enjoyed the food, but my wife found the etoufee "spicy" but I thought it was perfect (I likes spicy food). There was a line outside beginning about 8 PM.
Recommend reservations.
It was a little noisy there, but not ridiculously so.
We would definitely go again.

“Old World New Orleans Dinning”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 26, 2013

Just great authentic food the Turtle Soap is just the best! Portions were very large no way we could eat it all the food is delicious perhaps a bit heavily seasoned for some but not for me, had the rabbit was a battered and fried preparation with a huge side of sausage and vegetable mix (mostly sausage). Dinner for 2 was very fairly priced even with cocktails their website has a dress code but we called and they allow dress/walking shorts.

“Excellent”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 24, 2013

KPauls delivers. If you are looking for good old southern cajun/ creole cooking and lets not leave out delicious, make this a destination on your next visit to the French Quarter. One of my dining companies said if he could get a mug of there "Debris Sauce" he'd drink it like coffee. Excellent experience, thank you.
