“Great cheap food”
Reviewed November 4, 2013

Great burger. Best bread pudding I've ever had. Hole in the wall with little atmosphere. Stopped in on a whim for a burger. Staff was very pleasant. Did I mention that the bread pudding was the best I've ever had?

“The crowd recommends it - good, inexpensive breakfast”
Reviewed November 3, 2013

This restaurant is only open M-F from 7-2:30. We ate there Friday and brought our friends back on Saturday only to find it closed. Also note that they only take cash, although they do have an ATM in the restaurant. This is definitely a locals restaurant, and we enjoyed that. My friend had the egg on a muffin and I had 2 eggs, ham (lots of it, but it would have been tastier if it had been browned on the griddle), grits (too runny, but still tasty), and toast. It was a fun place to eat, no pretense, just down home cooking. The waitresses were very nice and very friendly. I would definitely go there again if I were in New Orleans in the future.

“For the cheap food lover”
Reviewed October 29, 2013

Don't understand me wrong, the food is very good there! Only you wont find the fancy napkins and tablecloths... but will leave with your belly full and your wallet almost untouched.T
he food is savory and abundant and the service is easygoing with the preparation going on cheerfully behind the huge counter.
The manager and the ladies are extremely friendly and your meal will be a pleasant moment in the day.

“Great po'boys, friendly service, no tourists”
Reviewed October 19, 2013 via mobile

A local friend suggested this place for lunch. My suggestion for you is to get a half oyster half shrimp po'boy. You'll feel right at home, where the regulars are all Mr. First Name and the tea is sweet and cold. Small classic diner style place popular with local businessmen during the week.
