“An amazing experience!”
Reviewed June 3, 2013

You can choose between the chef's 7 course tasting menu, or a 4 course option with choices, the chef's menu looked amazing, but I don't eat meat except seafood, so we went with the choices. The flavors were unique and beautiful. We had wine pairings with each course and they were wonderful. The staff was so knowledgeable and accommodating. It was fabulous experience. We would definitely go back, but it may be reserved for special occasions, because it's very pricey, although well worth it.

“4 Courses or 7, SPECTACULAR Experience”
Reviewed June 3, 2013

Dallas was our principal server and selected the wines, this is very pricey but so very worth it. An evening that we will remember very fondly.

“Outstanding Meal”

Delicious! Great service and atmosphere. The menu is a tasting menu and was one of the best meals I've had. It was a great evening and dining experience. A must when in New Orleans.

“Stella is Stellar!!”
Reviewed May 27, 2013

We had settled on Stella as our "splurge" event during this visit to New Orleans...and we were not disappointed. Located in a quiet location on Chartres St, Stella is away from the hustle and bustle...which is a nice break. Our table was ready when we arrived and we were quickly seated. Our servers introduced themselves and gave us the short version of the introduction to Stella's. As others have noted, the menu consists of a four course or seven course prix fixe option. Both the four course and seven course menus come with "supplements" in various courses at an extra charge (sometimes substantial--as in waygu beef)...and both options come with an optional wine pairing. The members in our group settled on the four course menu...as the options within each course were extensive and almost always contained the same course option as in the seven course version. We poured over the menus for a long time, as trying to choose between the delectable options in each course was the most difficulty task we had. I am a wine enthusiast and sommelier trained and was very impressed with our sommelier that evening. He took the time to explain many options to accompany our selections...and also reversed the process by recommending dishes to go with wines that interested us. Nice. The service was attentive without being intrusive. The dining room was full but did not seem crowded. A little over three hours after arriving we headed for our cab...reminiscing amongst ourselves about the all the memorable moments of the evening. This is what fine dining is all about.

“Luxurious Dining Experience”
Reviewed May 27, 2013

Dined at Stella to catch up with old friends who were visiting NO. Not a fan at all of the fixed menu. Would rather more choices, but the service was spot on and it was a wonderful evening.
