we eat at the Alpine every time we come to NOLA. This time the food was good as always. But the service was slow and there was a fight going on in the kitchen. We couldn't hear the fight from our table, but you could hear EVERYTHING from the bathroom. My sister came back to our table talking about the fight in the kitchen, About 30 mins later when I went to the bathroom, I could hear the fight too! It sounded very serious! I was glad we were close to finishing our meal. We ask for our ticket, paid and were glad to leave before the fight came out of the kitchen..

Good solid cajun fare just off Jackson Square. Accommodating staff. They let us order off the grill menu for breakfast. Courtyard dining.

What a wonderful place we happened to find in New Orleans! Lori was wonderful host, bartender, and tour guide! Nice to be able to go somewhere that has a staff that works together and is actually pleased to see you. Food was great and cold beverages were always replinished vs. waiting for service.

We have been stopping at the Alpine since we started visiting NOLA in 1996. It is a good restaurant for local cusine and doesn’t pretend to be an upscale restaurant. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We had a great blackened Redfish with Crawfish cream sauce and my wife had the Praline Duck which was tasty. This is an out-of-the-way restaurant for some good tasting New Orleans cuisine, no frills, just great local color and vistas.
