Absolutely the best restaurant we ate at during our visit. Food was great, service was very good, and the beer was fantastic. Great atmosphere. We will be eating at Deanie's the next time we go through New Orleans

“Nothing incredible but fits the bill”

If you are looking for a fried seafood platter, you can certainly find an acceptable one here, but it's a bit pricey and crowded for what it is....Deannie's at the lakefront has more charm and atmosphere, but neither location is going to win any culinary awards. That said, perfectly acceptable seafood in a convenient location.

We took a swamp tour in lafette and deanies was promoted for crawfish. We actually liked the oven baked oysters best but lots of seafood selection. Location in business district on iberview st near canal. We had to ask three times to find it but worth the extra walking.

Whenever I am in Nw Orleans I make sure I stop by Deanie's seafood. This is usually my last restaurant before heading home . The house salad dressing is simply fantastic one of thebest in the city. The platters r so large you could share. Make sure you add this to your list of restaurants.

“A don't miss”

A couple of things about Deanie's...always eat the coconut bread pudding and everything else is fried. They also have a new appetizer that is their version of seafood nachos. It was not on the menu but our server told us about it....kettle chips with a cheese sauce, crab meat, scallions and more cheese. Had to have it twice in a week, wonderful.
