“Great spot for breakfast with locals”
Reviewed January 6, 2012

This is preverbial New Orleans/Uptown breakfast dining. Usually crowded in the am, but the wait is short. Buckwheat pancakes are yummy, as well as the juevos rancheros. Everything is yummy, and the atmosphere is truly local.

“It's nothing to tweet about”
Reviewed November 7, 2011

Riccobonos is an ok place for breakfast or brunch and that same sentiment applies to pretty much everything about the place. Food? Yeah, it's ok. Service? Yeah, it's ok. Atmosphere? Well, you get the picture. Nothing spectacular, nothing awful. I have friends who love this place so I wind up here more than I would if I were the only one picking places. It seems like each time we are there, someone's order gets messed up (usually forgetting an item, like a side of bacon). This is corrected quickly and without attitude. The thing that keeps me from begging we drop this place from our rotation is that the prices are very reasonable. However, you get what you pay for. Be warned that on weekends you will wait in line outside for a table.

“Have it their way (well done)”
Reviewed September 30, 2008

Consistently overcooked omelets, burgers, even burned toast (to which kitchen says the toaster has only one setting). Not much else nearby so no choice for captive audience of locals.

I don't do breakfast, but when it happens this place gets a few of my bucks every now and then. Friendly enough service, food is nothing to complain about. Strange location but still worth going a little out of the way.
