“Great food and wine list!”
Reviewed December 10, 2012

I went here for the first time last weekend, and loved it! It has a very nice patio right on St. Charles. The flank steak bruschetta, goose fat fries, and cheese selection were all fantastic! The ordering method is a little different, but didn't take away from my experience. I will definitely go again!

“Yummmmy”
Reviewed September 17, 2012

One of my favorite spots in New Orleans! It has a cool sitting area outside and even though it's small on the inside it has great atmosphere. Great wine selection and the food is fantastic. If you are ever there.... cheese plate and possibly the steak frites :)
The service and method they take orders is different, so don't go here if you want a fast meal. This is a place to go and enjoy being uptown in one of the funnest cities. You order at the bar and your food is delivered to your table. It takes a while because it is always packed.
Must place to go if ever in NOLA!

“Great food and drinks--Very bad service”
Reviewed August 7, 2012

After going to The Delachaise, there are two things that are very consistent:
1- Food quality and taste: great, awesome; also great drinks. A bit pricy.
2-Service: very bad. Everytime it is a struggle to order at the bar, which is crowded and the bartenders act like they don't see you. After going to several different places in New Orleans, I have to say this one stands out as bad.

“Amazingly simple but sooo good!”
Reviewed June 28, 2012

The Delachaise is a bar with some extras: cute patio on the St Charles boulevard, extensive by the glass wine and beer list and a great cook!
First you need to go to the bar to order your food as there is no waiter to take your order - a bit unusual for me. Second, I was delighted to see some sparkling wines by the glass that you would not be able to see unless you go to a very expensive restaurant (French specifically). Third, they have French fries cooked in goose fat that are to die for!!!!
I ordered a plate of steamed mussels and the cook did them to perfection...What can I say? they know how to cook back there even though this place is not set to be a restaurant...Really?!
I enjoyed my time even though I was on my own. Please be patient with the kitchen. The manager was generous by offering me another glass of wine because my order was taking more time than usual...Wow! This is a great place to stop at...

“Excellent wine and food - curmudgeonly bartenders”
Reviewed June 6, 2012

We love this quirky, wonderful place on the Avenue. An extensive variety of wines and liquors and wonderfully prepared dishes are served in a beautiful setting by people who clearly have better places to be, but then that's part of the charm in a way. The patio is a nice spot on pleasant evenings and the inside space has a convivial, open feel. They could put some work into those bathrooms, however.
