“An unique culinary experience in Jackson Square...”
Reviewed July 14, 2013

Thanks to some wonderful friends who live in the Baton Rouge area and were kind enough to treat me while giving me a nice tour of the French Quarter and Jackson Square, I was able to experience a fancy, pricey restaurant for the first time in my life... I nearly felt underdressed, considering how upscale the atmosphere was... all of the staff was impeccably dressed, and the service was just as impeccable. I had some delicious German wine (Trimbach Gewurztraminer 2009 Alsace) and ordered a hamburger and fries for $11.50... surely the most expensive hamburger I have ever eaten, but also the best-tasting I have ever ordered from a sit-down restaurant, EVER...

“Great Lunch in New Orleans”
Reviewed July 13, 2013

We had a late lunch here while on a stopover in New Orleans. The restaurant exceeded expectations and lived up to the reviews. I had the pecan crusted puppy drum... it was one of the best fish dishes I've ever had. My daughter had the wood grilled pork chop with red beans - very yummy with a good smoky flavor. We were stuffed from the entrees and didn't have space for dessert.

“Easter Sunday Brunch”
Reviewed July 11, 2013

Of course the food there is very French. I had turtle soup to begin my meal. My main course was quail with mustard greens and roasted beets. Dessert was a slice of coconut cream cake with a cup of coffee. Very rich!

“four words - double cut pork chop.”
Reviewed July 10, 2013

Seriously, if I was a food critic on the show "Best Thing I've Ever Ate" this pork chop as well as the pecan glazed sweet potatoes would be on my list. Superb. The staff was excellent. Rarely do you get what you pay for anymore, especially in a touristy spot, but this place does not disappoint. We had a perfect seat by the window and the atmosphere was incredible. One of the best places we dined in NOLA.

“Best spot for an early evening cocktail”
Reviewed July 10, 2013

Head inside, grab a drink from the friendly bartender, then sneak up the stairs (past the haunted dining table) and take a seat on the balcony overlooking Jackson Square. Enjoy the night air and the show below!
