We had received a recommendation from a friend for this place, and we found it in the French Quarter. It did NOT look like the white Southern frame house with white columns on this website. However, it did look like the counter cafe in the other pictures. We enjoyed a late breakfast. Even though the menu said breakfast ended at 11:00, we had several breakfast items. The omelettes were GREAT. Mine was the best I've ever had. The staff was entertaining with their smart remarks and efficient service. The prices were very reasonable. When I go back to the French Quarter, I will make a point to return to this place.

This was on our "bucket" list for our sabbatical stay in 2005. Since we spent exactly 13 days in the City before Katrina changed our plans, we decided that this would be our time to visit it.

So, we arrived at about 11:30 on a Saturday, entered to an already full house, and truly enjoyed the wait. It gave us a better feel for the "experience" and gave us an opportunity to talk to our bench mates, who were NOLA natives there for their regular Saturday Brunch. When the natives keep coming back in a city like NOLA, it is a good recommendations.

Our grill master was Marvin, who didn't mind fist bumping the old white dudes and kept us grinning around the generous servings. Sometimes it was hard not to laugh with a mouth full of bacon and hash browns, but we managed not to embarrass ourselves!

This is a Grill. The menu is the same as the diner down the street from you. The food is just short of excellent, and the servings are big enough to keep a 6'3" man pretty happy for a couple of hours.

Yes, it is a bit of a wait, but then the food appears like magic and there is not much of a push to turn the seats.

MMMM..good food, fun place. Thanks Marvin.

Take a cab to the restaurant for breakfast and get there early (before 10:00) then take the streetcar back to downtown. EVERYTHING is great, but especially the pecan waffles, burgers, and omelets. Cooked on a grill as you sit at a diner style counter. Most of the waiters have been there for years and are great at entertaining the guests. Take it from a local - go!

Love this place! Have been coming here since I was in college and it is just like stepping back to a place frozen in time. Menu is the same as it was 20 years ago. They have the best pecan waffles and chili and cheese omletes. My three daughters loved sitting on a stool at the counter watching them cook our food on a grill in front of our eyes. A great taste of nostalgia for those young and young at heart.

The down to earth environment makes this restaurant very inviting. The staff was very friendly. Very reasonable priced menu. Their burgers are the best. It's prepared fresh to order on the grill. Melts in your mouth!!
