I've been hearing about Commander's for years and was really looking forward to finally eating there. While there was nothing terribly wrong with the experience, neither was there anything out of the ordinary; decent food at white tablecloth prices accompanied by over-the-top waiters in a touristy, Disneyfied atmosphere. It very much seemed like something one "has to do" rather than something one does because it's an experience worth having. Ours was a jazz brunch; perhaps it would be better at dinner.
