Don't reserve a table. we didn't and were treated to half an hour with a pre-dinner coctail in a "waiting room" where a guy was hannering away at a piano - this is what i expected to find in New Orleans (not Bourbon St) the food wasn't half bad and well worth the wait.

Reservations are a must, and even with them you can expect to wait. We did not have to wait long, however, and it was well worth it. The rooms are intimate, the service was impeccable and the food was really wonderful. Good wine selections available. A true New Orleans dining experience!

My friend tried to make a reservation on a Monday and they were booked but they put us on a wait list for 8pm. We arrived at 7:45 and the Maitre D' ( I wish I could remember his name) quickly greeted us and had us take a seat in the lounge. After a cocktail we were promptly seated at 8! Our waiter, Orlando, was very helpful and polite. We started off with Mussels Marinara.... Delish!! The Crispy duck was awesome and juicy. The Lamb Chops were cook perfectly medium rare and melted in your mouth! We ended with Tiramisu and Community Coffee of course! Can't wait to return!!

Irene's was recommended to us by a family friend who lives across the street from the restaurant and I couldn't be happier he did. The food and service are both excellent. You could tell that the waitstaff is passionate about what they serve and can answer any questions you have about the food. I ordered the duck which was absolutely delicious, but I also tried the soft shell crab and lamb which were amazing as well. The restaurant has a great atmosphere and for what you are getting everything is really reasonably priced. I could not recommend it more highly. A must-do in New Orleans if you have the opportunity.

We were lucky to get a booking in this very popular up market restaurant. The decor was great and the service excellent considering the totally full restaurant. Our food was superb
