“Top service, Top Dollar”
Reviewed June 24, 2013

While this is not an inexpensive restaurant, the money is well spent as service, ambiance and food are all excellent and worth the price. There was also a live piano player who never seemed to take a break. The wait staff is on the ball and know their stuff. Our waiter suggested an alternative wine once he knew our price range. It was an excellent Napa Valley Pinot Noir. Their gumbo is one of the best. They have an interesting charcuterie platter for an appetiser and we all (four of us) shared it. We all had the filet which came on a bed of spinach. We wondered how they could make spinach taste so good. This is a good choice for a special occasion dinner.

“Best dinner in NO”
Reviewed June 19, 2013

Hands down worth the money. The Louisiana drum fish is a must at any of his restaurants and the hanger steak was great. The gumbo was fantastic and the gnocci was incredible. Have the bignets somewhere else. We were told later that the banana's foster and banana crème pie were the best ever.

“Lovely meal”
Reviewed June 18, 2013

The meal was great and well as service. One of our waiters was Kevin and all around great service. We couldn't have been happier. We had the lamb to share and special bread pudding for dessert.

“Reality was less than the expectation”
Reviewed June 16, 2013

Over salted food, steak was OK but not great (have had better) and for $100 per person (with wine and dessert) it did not meet the hype.

“Very good, still prefer the original Emerils in NOLA”
Reviewed June 11, 2013

Atmosphere:Very Romantic. Dimmed lights, live piano player/singer. We where on the first floor, which has maybe 10 tables which makes it very quiet and intimate.

Service: The service was good, our waiter was very knowledgable. In the original Emerils we had our own waiter which stood by our table for our entire dinning incase we needed anything. Drinks where refilled before we had the chance to put down our glasses.

Menu Options: This is a steak house which is reflected in the menu and maybe why I still prefer the original Emerils which, has alot more options. My hubby is a Steak lover and it was his birthday dinner. I would have prefered more sea food / poultry options.

Trolly: The St. Charles trolly drops you off right in front. They also have vallet parking.

Romance: They have a Private booth which is very nice and private. By request only its right by the piano player which may be a nice proposal spot ;-)

filet Mignon was good not amazing
Rib Eye was amazing
Jalapeno Corn bread was great

They have alot of unique drinks, I tried the lindsy it was good.
