Front staff rude. Waiter rude. Definitely not kid friendly.
Food average.
Great caesar salad though.
Will not return.

Good afternoon,
We are so very sorry to hear about your disappointing experience at GW Fins. Your recent visit clearly did not live up to your expectations, nor our standards. We are interested in understanding a little more about your dining experience with us, as we strive to meet the wants and needs of each and every guest -- children, Vegans, people maintaining Gluten-Free diets, etc. -- and certainly do not condone "rude" service to our valued patrons.

Contact email is social@gwfins.com - we truly value your feedback and hope to hear from you soon.

All the best,

Service was great, so was the food. I expected a lottle more cajun but it was good. We lucked out but you definitely need reservations.

“Best seafood restaurant in New Orleans”
Reviewed June 7, 2013

The restaurant is beautiful and the seafood the best in New Orleans. We come here often so we know. Troy was our waiter--he was wonderful. The owner is Gary and he works as hard as everyone else.

“Great combination”
Reviewed June 7, 2013

We had dinner at GW Fins on a Friday night and it was a great combination of excellent food, service and atmosphere. We have been here before and knew it is always full and can be loud. We asked for a quiet table when we made the reservations and got a booth in the back that was quiet, had a great view of the floor and the big windows looking out to Bienville. We ordered the Drum, Red Snapper and the mashed sweet potatoes which were all excellent. The suggestions by the waiter were spot on. We loved the sweet potatoes so much we asked and the chef emailed the recipe to us. They have a excellent wine list with lots of options in all price ranges. We will continue to have dinner here everytime we come back.

“Wow, what a find!”
Reviewed June 7, 2013

This was a change from the traditional New Orleans places we have visited over the years and it was a great experience. It was busy and bustling and they were just doing a great job...you know when there is a crowd there is a reason why. The service was spot-on and the food was wonderful, you just cannot beat seafood straight out of the Gulf. Will be on our short list next time we visit.
