Went for the burger as we heard it was the best in town. But the service was far better and entertaining. The waiter was still drunk from the night before. But created a highly entertaining burger experience.

You can't miss with little restaurant. You may have a wait to get in the door. Seating is limited, but the food and price is right.

What we would call a greasy spoon here in Britain, with cooking smells in the air and basic, mainly fried, food. Cramped but despite all that the atmosphere was good, the food tasty, service good considering how full it was, and the price was not eye-watering.

The Clover Grill is one of those unique-in-all-the-world places. Yes, it's just a 24/7 greasy-spoon, short-order tiny little diner with a limited menu at the tail end of Bourbon Street madness This trip, we ate there twice. The burgers are big and juicy; the fries are hot and crisp. Breakfast is well-prepared. Don't expect much and leave any attitude at the door. This trip, the staff was low-key and subdued. I've been there in the past when the staff was full-tilt boogie ON and outrageously fun. It's a great place to remember when you've OD'ed on creole/cajun and just want well-priced burgers, fries, tots or breakfast in the wee hours of the night or anytime. It's always on my list of telling people to go when I hear someone to headed to NOLA.

This is a very good place to refuel in the middle of the French Quarter. Great food for very low prices. Don't tell anyone about this place or it will become overwhelmed.
