During a 9 day stay in New orleans we dined at Emeril's twice for lunch after reading a suggestion to try pricey restaurants at lunch. At both meals the service was exceptional...attentive but not overly intrusive. Frommer's indicated that the service was stuffy, but we only encountered gracious, friendly staff at all points of our meal. The pecan-crusted white fish and the smoked mushroom pasta were high points of our meals, the BBQ shrimp being the least favorite. The taste was wonderful but the portion small for $21 (10-12 shrimp). We never made it to dessert but the menu is extensive and looked wonderful as we checked out the plates around us. We will definitely return to Emeril's when we return to New Orleans.
