We will be Kayaking the fjords on our upcoming Alaskan cruise so we wanted some experience especially for our 10 year old. This was PERFECT: a beautiful Louisiana swamp habitat complete with wildlife, still waters and leisurely paddling, a patient and attentive guide... a precious memory. We decided to make this a new family tradition for Easter Monday.

We enjoyed our kayak expedition very much. The area was beautiful and our guide Chad was on the sharp lookout for interesting things to point out (alligators, birds, snakes ,turtles, vegetation).

The pace was just right for us.

This is the company the locals use. As a local I should know. I have come on several of their tours including overnight trips. They are knowledgeable, organized, and truly passionate about preserving our naturual diversity. Very easy to take children, teens, and people who know nothing about camping/kayaking.

My wife and I had a wonderful eco kayak day paddling with Matt and Chad. They were
amazing guides both on and off the water. Learned a lot about the swamp the bayou and the area pre and post Katrina. We enjoyed the flora and fauna and Matt's enthusiasm and daring with his snake skills. This was a very relaxed paddle that almost anyone could enjoy. Highly recommend our your trip to NOLA.

After looking for a highly rated canoe/kayak tour this one stood out for me from the start. I loved that there were no loud boat motor noises to scare the wildlife and that we could get up close to all we saw. Due to the fact that alligators aren't fed by humans to be lured closer to the paddlers you had to have a keen vision to catch all the sightings along the way. There were a plethora of sightings, and Kevin was an amazing tour guide. In addition we saw 2 types of turtles, several kinds of snakes, a frog (that hitched a ride on everyone's water craft), birds, flora and other fauna. The weather could not have been more ideal and the paddle out and back more enjoyable. Thank you Canoe & Trail Adventures for providing the option to float so close to the water and really enjoy the perfect way to spend a handful of hours away from the hustle of the big city.
