After reading about mixologist Chris McMillian of Kingfish in Spirit Magazine, my husband and I had to visit. Chris was special! My husband, a bourbon lover who is not usually a fan of Mint Juleps felt compelled to try one. It redefined the drink for him. The combination of ingredients was perfectly mastered... not the type you'd get for mainstream pleasure, but a drink that complements, doesn't detract from, the quality of the bourbon. There was true inspiration that went into each drink Chris poured, and he was also a delight to chat with.

if I recall Huey in The Great Depression promised " a chicken in every pot " and wanted "Every Man a King but Noone Wears a Crown" This restaurant was one of the very best we tried and the food and service were amazing from the Lump Crab Jumbo and the Charred Rabbit as well as the fresh and succulent fish of the day The Kingfish. Wine superb and reasonably priced!

I met a colleague here for a drink and it was perfect. The bar is open all day and has a refinement about it unlike 99% of the other bars in the area. The windows are open to the street and the service was excellent. Great place for a quiet and upscale drink!

We thought the food was great and the people were nice, unlike the lady in the previous comment. The people in the kitchen work as hard as they can to make everything just right. To give no tip to your server because the kitchen got behind a little is beyond rude. Don't take it out on the rest of the world just because your husbands "rabbit" is small and dry.

Let me first say that we loved the bar. Bartenders were top notch. Cocktails were fantastic. We had reservations for dinner a little later, so we moved on to those. Service was extremely slow and we expressed that to the manager. After an hour, our food finally arrived. My chicken was good but my husband's rabbit was small and dry. After the bill arrived, we decided not to leave a tip because our server was MIA for the majority of the time. We paid the bill and our waiter proceeded to follow us into the street and throw change at us and proposition us for a fight. He even took off his apron and threw it on the street! In all of the cities we've dined in, this is a first for us. I was so shocked by the utter lack of class of this server. We returned to the restaurant and the manager expressed an apology and reimbursed us for our meal. I'm still speechless because of this experience. Do yourself a favor, come here for drinks, but go elsewhere for dinner.
