This was the first time I've ever been to KINGFISH. I was recommended by my wifes boss. The staff greeted me with immense warmth, and a sincere desire for me to have a great experience. The Executive Chef, Greg Sonnier, came tableside during the meal and without a doubt treated me as though I was the only one he was cooking a meal for... Robert, the attentive waiter, set the bar for service higher than anywhere else I've been in New Orleans (and it's been 18 years visiting now for personal and business)...I'd ask for him by name. As a matter of fact, I've already recommend my sister visit when she's there next and request Robert.
As for FOOD--The Rabbit Gumbo was delectable, flavorFULL and a meal unto itself. The Bartender served the most accurate Hendricks Collins I've been served in 3+years. KUDOs to the young blond bartender...I'd have him make the next several for me too. As for Dessert..DON"T leave with out 1 or 2 or 3 ....I"LL BE BACK!
