“Interesting”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 3, 2013

This is a small museum which no pictures are allowed to be taken. It was filled with artifacts from the Souths rich history displayed beautifully with descriptions. Do not be fooled by the size of this museum, you can get lost in there for hours looking and learning about various people, flags, weaponry and history.
Would do this again as the people were also extremely friendly.

“Wonderful little museum”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 1, 2013

A really nice, small museum with some truly interesting artifacts. You seem to be on your own here, but the displays have information regarding all the materials.

“No military discount.”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 15, 2013

These folks could take a lesson from the WWII museum across the way. They do not offer any form of military discount like the WWII museum does. I might be because I am serving for the union military, LOL. They do not allow you to take pictures and there is a limited number of exhibits. Worth doing only if you have nothing else to do.

“Gem of a Civil War Museum”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 11, 2013 via mobile

A great museum that brings to life the Souther experience in the Civil War.Many of the artifacts are donated by families of those who participated and most articles are in fine shape. The displays are well laid out and feature uniforms, swords, guns, flags of some of the well known Confederate regiments. They show a nice video, have a great gift shop and very friendly staff.

“Nice Small Museum in a Beautiful Building”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 5, 2013

This museum is small - smaller than I thought for. It is chock full of artifacts which are fun to look at, although some seem to not be Civil War period and/or mislabled. The building is really beautiful and should be appreciated. This is not a glitzy modern museum. It is "old school" with items in old fashioned display cases with typed up labels. Appreciate it for what it is and you will enjoy your visit.
