“Nice to see in City Park!”
Reviewed April 28, 2014

I like this location a bit more than the Metairie one. I was walking through City Park and remembered hearing that Morning Call had opened here and had to try it out. The Beignets were excellent and the coffee was good. There was a gentleman playing music on a traditional African instrument who was phenomenal! A really nice surprise. Service was ehh, but the experience was very good overall. The prices were very reasonable!

“Oh my, beignets in the park???? Yes, please”
Reviewed April 28, 2014

What's not to like here? Beautiful park, classic beignets and a simple cup of coffee. Sit back and enjoy, then stroll around the wonderful park. A bit off the main area of the French Quarter and all, but that just makes it better. Nice escape from all the craziness. Just try and get there before the loads of tourist buses get there. After that, a bit noisy, smelly and crowded.

“Good beignets”
Reviewed April 27, 2014

Enjoyed coffee and beignets here. Nice place to relax a bit after seeing the sculpture garden. There were musicians playing jazz outside. Nice! There's a good gift shop too.

“Yum!”
Reviewed April 25, 2014 via mobile

We were on a city bus tour and it stopped here. I was worried the gumbo would be spicy but it was perfect. Very delicious! The wait staff was attentive and put my food in a to go container when I realized it was time to get on the bus. My husband liked the food and how it was recommended to eat.
I also had iced coffee and beignets. The little store in there was fun with reasonable prices.

“If you can, avoid the lines at Cafe du Monde and go here”
Reviewed April 19, 2014

Stopped in for café au lait and beignets on a Thursday afternoon. Grab a table, place your order, listen to the music (there was a duo playing on the patio) and enjoy your coffee and beignets. For the two of us, two coffees, and an order of beignets, it was $6.50 - now how can you beat that? And the atmosphere was unhurried, no huge lines of people and the beignets IMHO - recalling the ones at Café du Monde - just as good. And better yet, you can stroll the park if you wish.
