“A comfortable, clean and friendly hotel in the heart of Nola's Garden District.”
Reviewed September 3, 2013

We recently moved our daughter in to her dorm at a local university and were so pleased with the convenience an comfort of Hotel Indigo. After a long day of lifting, cleaning and shopping for necessities for the dorm stay, we were welcomed with warm and friendly faces at this lovely hotel. The rooms were clean and roomy, as well, and without the late-night stimulation of the French quarter.

We stayed here on a TravelZoo voucher so expected to get treated as "less than" due to the bargain rate we had. This was not at all the case. We were upgraded to a suite because of Priority Club status and negotiated a great rate for a third night. Service in the bar is great and everyone is extremely helpful and friendly. Neisha makes a great Bloody Mary even when the bar isn't open for regular business.

Be sure to eat the breakfast bread pudding! It's the best savory pudding I've ever had. We were able to do lots of tourist things and be close enough to hotel to get back quick and easily to rest and/or change clothes,(it was steamy). And establishment's dog friendly, We loved this hotel and will be back.

My husband & I stayed here when we dropped our daughter off for college. The hotel is eclectic in decoration, the rooms & bathrooms are spacious and comfortable. The food is Ok, but there are restaurants all around. The trolley stop is right outside, so you can ride to the French Quarter in minutes. We walked to Magazine Street for boutique shopping. The hotel only offers valet parking which can be a slight hassle if there are a lot of people (short driveway & busy street). This is one of the better hotels that we have stayed at in New Orleans.

For the more adventurous (location) and romantic (again location) guest Indigo is eclectic and funky and very clean and modern. Parking (valet only as far as I could tell) is a bit daunting with a very small driveway right on St.Charles BUT then LEAVE IT!! Walk to bars and restaurants - a lot local v tourist - cable car right outside if you just have to do the Quarter/downtown et al.

Rooms are spacious with great bathrooms. On site dining lacking but has a nice bar.

Room Tip: We had no issues but looking at other reviewers I guess get one at the front - that is where ours wa...

If you actually want to sleep while you are at this hotel, good luck! The valet lot is in the back of the hotel and the staff have no method of retrieving cars except to let the alarm blare for 5 minutes while they dilly dally around. On one Sunday morning I heard at least 20 go off until I decided to just get out of there since I wasnt going to get any peace at this hotel.

Super hotel and one of the better ones for this chain. The lobby is very funky and rooms are very large with enormous spa showers. It is in a convenient location for the trolley bus to the centre of town but far enough away from the madness to be quiet and very close in to the beautiful Garden District. Only small issue was with parking - there is a car park, valet parked, but it did not seem very secure to us. We had two flat tyres on our rental car overnight whilst parked there. Nonetheless, staff at the hotel were all very helpful while it was sorted out. We would definitely stay here again.
