Description: Serving Lunch on Fridays, Dinner nightly and Sunday Jazz Brunch. Restaurant R'evolution is the first joint venture of award-winning Chefs John Folse and Rick Tramonto offering modern, imaginative reinterpretations of classic Cajun and Creole cuisine. Steeped in the diverse historic and cultural influences of Louisiana, the menu features not only the chefs' interpretations of New Orleans classics such as gumbo and beignets, but also new creations highlighting ingredients from what Chef Folse refers to as "the swamp floor pantry." Tableside service components play an important role in the dining experience, promoting guest engagement about the history and evolution of the food they are enjoying. Soups such as Creole Louisiana Snapping Turtle Soup and Death by Gumbo play on unusual presentations of these traditional dishes that date back centuries. Desserts showcase classical New Orleans sweets done in a new and contemporary way.

Fabulous food, beautiful setting and a great bar. Priced to make it a special occasion treat but the food and service were spectacular.

This was the best place to eat, the food was excellent. Have the quail, was absolutely wonderful. The red velvet souflee was absolutely to die for. Our server, Rain, was amazing.

When a local recommends a place in the quarter to experience a certain cuisine trust them!
I have always loved gumbo and I have had the good, the bad and the..what the heck is this?

I ordered my gumbo along with a traditional gin fizz in the bar.The gin fizz was by far the best I ever had. Here comes my Gumbo! It was pure perfection ! I could tell just by looking at it This was going to be good! The flavor was perfect not too spicy but not bland. The color was like a dark gravy thick and full of flavor one large shrimp sat on top along with crawfish tails and bits of fish.

Do yourself a favor ,stop in and just order a cup of gumbo,,You will be glad you did!

We have heard of this great take for several years and finally made a visit. They shower you with friendliness, service and attention, in a caring way. The menu is incredible, so take your time and enjoy each mouthful. We sat near the kitchen and the atmosphere was terrific. There is also an elegant dining room and be sure to take a stroll in the court yard after dinner. We are definitely going back

To be sure, there will always be a few unsavory characters to be admitted with their attitudes, shorts, t-shirts and inappropriate demeanor - but thankfully hardly enough to spoil this very beautiful restaurant in the French Quarter's Royal Sonesta Hotel. The high ceilinged crown molded rooms are old world French South. French doors with thick moldings and rich colors and classic lighting. The menu here is very complete and actually reasonably priced. the idea is to accommodate several choices in one evening for a full taste experience. Some combinations may surprise! Tables are solid dark wood and unclad - the only disparity with the grand scale of decor, yet practical and inviting. The Folsom Tramonti chef duo definitely know what they are doing. Very extensive wine list in IPad format...
