“Another great new dining option on Magazine St”
Reviewed September 15, 2012

Set back off the street a little in an old house, it doesn't jump out at you as you drive down Magazine St. Ate dinner here twice. Both times were very good. The scallops are excellent, as is the crabmeat and goat cheese tart. The gumbo was very good, although I thought the ham overpowered the duck in it. Will have to go back for brunch, where as of this time they seem to be serving $3 mimosas and bloody marys.

“Wonderful and low-key”
Reviewed August 27, 2012

This is a beautiful space, with young staff who take their jobs seriously. Had been here before under previous chef and loved it; the new chef is every bit as good. It's a comfortable and low-key restaurant while still feeling quite special. Good for couples and for small groups, too. I love the ties that all of the waiters wear, too. But the real star is the food. Excellent cocktail menu, too.

“Best New Restaurant No One Seems To Know About”
Reviewed July 16, 2012

Had an awesome meal here! It's located on a part of Magazine Street that is not yet overdeveloped. The atmosphere and food is authentic New Orleans, not artificially hip or pretentious. It also has a great wine list and bar. Will definitely be back.

“Magazine St. Gem”
Reviewed July 2, 2012 via mobile

This is a wonderful newer restaurant in an old location. What a charming find on Magazine with all the ingredients to become my new favorite restaurant! The food, service and ambiance are top flight. Nothing we asked for was out of their boundaries. I look forward to my return visit.

“Anniversary Dinner”
Reviewed June 10, 2012

We chose this restaurant for our anniversary dinner. It turned out to be a good choice. The place is really attractive; nice woodwork and comfortable ambiance. The service and food were both stellar. We were started with a toast of prosecco gratis by the server. I had the sweetbreads served over grits with a chimichurri sauce. My wife loved her Creole tomato salad with feta, greenleaf lettuce and white balsamic dressing. I had the sauteed scallops and grilled shrimp with maque choux and bacon planks. Our other entree was caraway-crusted pork tenderloin with mashed potatoes and onion and apple chutney. To echo another reviewer, this is a gem.
