“Nice park with free Jazz on Thursdays!”

A lovely park with food vendors and trinket vendors that are reasonable priced for the Thursday Jazz in the Park concerts. We will be back for more concerts.

“Don't miss it!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 26, 2013 via mobile

Beautiful park with lots going on. It's the perfect place to take a break while exploring the quarter. If you can make one of the frequent free concerts, do it. Great people watching, food, and drinks while you listen to great New Orleans music in a place oozing with history. The rose garden is gorgeous in the spring.

“Lovely park away from the hustle and bustle”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 19, 2013

Here's another green spot in New Orleans for a respite from the noise and busy of the city. A lovely tribute to this historic musician. The park has water fowl and fountains, walking paths, photo ops and shade trees....we were there for an outdoor concert but didn't stay for the whole thing. Food vendors; we got a Snowball which was delicious on a hot day! Plenty of strolling walkways, bridges. Lovely green space. With some sculpture.....I didn't give it a 5 because I could't find a bathroom! But try to see it, we walked thru the French Quarter and bumped right into the Park. Easy. All the big trees in NOLA are to be admired. The main street that the park is on felt like it would be unsafe in the evening even though it's busy. Go in the day, no problem.

“Nice park with Satchmo statue”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 12, 2013 via mobile

Well kept park with a few statues and linked to Congo square. Short walk from the French Quarter but theres hints around every corner that you're not in Kansas anymore. I wasn't harassed but I also didn't feel 100% safe. Petty empty park overall so go during daytime only. You can also stop off at the St Louis Cemetary few blocks away.
