“Fantastic Experience -- Look Forward to Our Next Visit!”
Reviewed October 4, 2010

If you are looking for an incredible B&B experience in New Orleans, stay at the Five Continents. You will be treated to exceptional service by the owner, Jess. He is truly the best Innkeeper we have ever met -- gracious and generous with his guests. He made us feel welcome in his beautiful home yet gave us the privacy we wanted on our visit to New Orleans. His breakfasts are fabulous -- and served at the time we selected. Jess also gave us great advice (make sure you try Cafe Degas!) and made our short weekend visit to New Orleans a highlight of our year. We will be back to stay at Five Continents again!

Everything I have to say has already been said by previous guests, but I'll reiterate the property is beautiful and conveniently situated, Jess is a fantastic host, the rooms comfortable and spacious, the food spectacular, the price extremely reasonable (quoted prices include all taxes and fees and refrigerator stocked with free non-alcoholic beverages). The off-street secure parking is a bonus.

Our stay couldn't have been better.

We chose to stay at the 5 Continents again instead of the conference hotel, and I'm so glad we did. It was a very quick trip to the business district every morning, and a great way to start the day. The breakfasts were amazing as before, and everything was still spic and span. This is our "go to" place for NOLA. The house is beautiful and comfortable, Jess is a wonderful host, the location is perfect, and the breakfasts are amazing, all for a reasonable price. Another wonderful stay, and not our last!

My wife and I stayed at 5 Continents for three nights when we first visited New Orleans this late July. The weather was stifling hot, not something we're used to, but Jess made us feel perfectly welcome with his excellent advice and local knowledge. That, and the free water and complimentary soft drinks in the handy fridge made the heat much less of a problem than it could have been. Our room - the North American Cottage - was both elegantly and practically furnished. We were particularly impressed by the bathroom, with a spacious and excellent shower.

Most of our activities during our stay were inspired by Jess's suggestions; we saw more of the city than we ever would have relying on our own wits alone. We whole-heartedly reccommend this B & B for anyone going to New Orleans, be it their first or 50th time!

We had a simply wonderful 20th anniversary stay at 5 Continents. Jess is a fabulous host and went far out of his way to make sure that every detail was perfect. He is also an amazing cook, and the breakfasts were outstanding. The immaculate rooms are not only luxurious, but it's great fun to see all the treasures that Jess collected over his travels. We can't recommend it highly enough - everything was perfect!

We went to NOLA for a conference & extended it in to a vacation. After the conference we left our generic chain hotel by the conference center and moved over to Five Continents B&B. We stayed in the Asian suite for three nights in mid-June. The B&B is stunning. You pass by so many lovely houses in New Orleans but you never get to see inside. It was wonderful to be staying in such a beautiful home. Our room was very large and prettily decorated. The bed was extremely comfortable. The Wi-Fi service was fast! Jess served us a delicious breakfast every day. You also get a chance to pet his adorable cats on the way to the dining room each morning. Jess is a font of New Orleans knowledge. He knows all the restaurants, tours, events, etc.. We were so glad we followed his advice about going to Frenchmen Street to listen to music. We heard the most amazing band! We wanted a location that was in walking distance of the French Quarter, but not in the middle of all the chaos. At night when we were tired it was a short cab ride home. NOLA is not a big town and it’s a quick ride to most anywhere. Jess provided extremely personal service at reasonable prices. He even printed up a recipe I particularly enjoyed and had it waiting for me on our last morning. I highly recommend Five Continents B&B.

I will stay at 5 Continents every time I go to NOLA. Jess, our host, welcomed us as if he has known us our whole lives. The house is beautiful & charming and in a perfect location - the French Quarter is only a few blocks away and a pleasant walk. Breakfast was DELISH!
