My husband and I have just had a truly wonderful trip to New Orleans. It was so wonderful because we stayed in this beautiful Bed and Breakfast. something we had never ever done before when visiting the USA. The house was amazing and the room/suite we stayed in was beautifully decorated and very comfortable, the bed was a little squishy, but not so much that it stopped us from sleeping. Peter was a fantastic host and his home cooked, made to order breakfasts were to die for. Akko the dog, well what a sweetie he was. He would greet us at the bottom of the stairs each morning and walk us through to the dining room. We sat at a nice big table with the other guests which was nice as we could share stories and tips about where to go etc.
We easily walked in to the French Quarter from the B and B, but after spending the whole day walking around we found it pretty easy to use the bus which stopped outside the door and only cost $3 for a day pass/unlimited travel on bus and tram.
If we ever return to New Orleans then this is where we will stay.More
