Visited Harrah's New Orleans....again. Wonderful stay. The customer service is always great. The hotel is nice and the room was large. Easy walking distrance to the French Quarter. Or for a more unique experience walk a couple of blocks down St. Peter's and catch the old style trolley. Purchase a one day pass and you can ride the trolley to Bourbon street for the French Quarter experience, through the Art District or down to the area near Jackson Square for great food and entertainment. The hotel only offers valet parking but you a parking garage is nearby and you if you play at the casino you can get your parking validated and park for free. Only drawback is that since the hotel is really a convenience for the casino they do not have a pool.

Room Tip: I like to have a view of the river but all the rooms are nice and you can't go wrong with the Fr...

My husband and I recently had a long weekend in New Orleans we stayed at the Harrahs. This property gets a top rating for many reasons. This was our first time there and the hotel is very nice inside. At check in I asked if we could a river view, we got upgraded to a corner suite... unbelievable the room was large sitting, dining and separate bedroom, huge bath separate shower and tub double sinks all marble and a separate room for toilet. Furnishings were tasteful and very nice. The staff was excellent from the front desk, conceirge, door men ... everyone is very friendly. Check in was a breeze we arrived on a Thursday at 6:00ish pm and were in our room in no time at all. Elevators always available and enough of them that the wait was insignificant. I am a Diamond status with Harrahs so not sure if that was helped with the upgrade but we were on the 24th floor and view was great. This hotel is located perfectly a few blocks in any direction and we had many activities and restaurants. The hotel is right next to the casino I saw write ups people comlaining but seriously you go out a door across a small courtyard into the next building down an escalator underground to another escalator and walla you are in the casino. I used this day and into the weeee hours of the morning safely no concerns. The hotel being in the hot temperature it is would have been a nice touch to have a pool to relax in but we were so busy I didnt miss it... I have been to many of Harrahs properties this one ranks at the top .... Hats off to Harrahs...

Room Tip: Corner suite or room high level river view

Harrah's New Orleans is HUGE! We had a great time playing video roulette and a few of the other machines. The people were very friendly, and overall we had a great time. We did not stay in the hotel, but we just stopped in a few times when we were out and about downtown. The only disadvantage that I can see is parking was a little pricey, but I believe if you played for a certain amount of time, you could get it validated.

Room Tip: We didn't stay, only play.

WOW! What a beautiful hotel. We have stayed at many Harrah,s properties and this is by far the best. We stayed four nights. From the minute we walked in we were impressed. The staff was so friendly. The lobby is beautiful. We got there around noon and our room was not ready yet. The young lady at the desk took our cell phone number and they called within the hour that the room was ready. There was no early check in fee as we are Total Rewards members. ( all four nights were comped). Our king bed room looked exactly like the pictures on the web site. It was clean and spacious. The bathroom was impressive. The air conditioning in the room was working too well in our room the first night. It was like the arctic in there. But we told the front desk and it was fixed by the time we returned that day. The casino is across the street, but easy to get to by just walking across the street or the very secure tunnel. The temp in the casino is very cold, bring a sweater. ( all casinos keep it way to cold for comfort) This hotel is just a few blocks from the edge of the French Quarter. There is a lot of walking if you want to see all the sights, but it is worth it. We ate 3 times at the Harrah's buffet. On my birthday I asked for a free buffet and the cashier said no problem, and the comp on my card paid for my husband's dinner. So it was a nice birthday dinner. This was our first trip to New Orleans and it will not be our last.

No complaints at all. Big room, comfortable bed, huge bathroom with nice tube. Clean. Nice employees. The casino is across the street with an underground path to the hotel. The only thing missing is a restaurant with breakfast in the hotel, but it's a really great place in any way.

As always, the room was large and beautiful. The staff was outstanding. Had to drop the overall rating to 4 because of a printer problem. There 4 of us in the business office printing our boarding passes. The printer was jammed so I called for help. They said someone was on the way. 20 minutes later..no one ...so we called again. This went on for an hour. Finally one of the guests took on the printer, and fixed it. No one from the hotel ever showed up in over an hour. Very unusual for this hotel. We will stay here again, but I will have the consignor print the boarding passes!

Every one was so friendly. We used the concierge services for restaurant recommendations, directions, printing of our boarding passes, etc. It was nice getting a greeting and big smile every time we entered the lobby. Room was very nice and convenient. We used the trolley and were able to visit a great deal of the city. TIny little complaint- had to call housekeeping for regular ( not decaf) coffee packets several times and also had to call because the tissues and toilet paper were not refilled. Still deserve a top rating because everything else was so great.
