“Ideal Location in NOLA”
Reviewed April 5, 2014

This was my first trip to New Orleans & very pleased that this is where we chose to stay. This location, right in the French Quarter, is perfect for enjoying New Orleans & being able to do so without renting a car. Restaurants, shops, and attractions are a short walk. The building itself is quite interesting & the courtyard with its exposed brick walls is charming. We were in room 209, which was fine for 2 people but cozy to say the least. The room is on the alley so starting at at about 5 AM every morning it was noisy. The window in both the bedroom & living had very heavy drapes, that I'm sure helped buffer some of the noise, but did make for a very dark living space even when pushed aside.
The staff was always very friendly & helpful. We had a slight a problem with our refrigerator when we checked in, it was fixed by the time we got back from dinner. There was maid service every day. The resort also hosted a Mardi Gras food night & a wine & cheese party both of which were very nice. Unfortunately, by the time we read about the Sunday brunch & walking tour, we had made other plans. We would definitely recommend this resort to anyone going to New Orleans.

Room Tip: The alley side is loud early in the morning.

First time in New Orleans, first time at the Quarter House. Went with my husband and 9 year old child. The resort is 2 blocks away from Bourbon Street. The courtyard is simply beautiful with its brick exposed walls, adorable pool & hot tub. Our room was #307. The room was decorated in a french style (wallpaper, furniture, etc) with a nice size kitchen, but no oven, but that was totally fine. We went food shopping at Rouses. The room was dark b/c only 2 windows were in the bedroom, but it wasn't a major issue. This room has this neat balcony that you share with the room next door: you have to open a window and climb though to access the balcony! The railing is very low, so we had to be careful with our child, but it was a unique experience and we enjoyed it! DEFINITELY take advantage of the free Sunday walking tour...it was about 1.5 hours, but we learned so much about the city! The front desk was always helpful, all of the guests were kind and friendly. The only drawback...but I imagine this would be at any place you stay near Bourbon Street...it was noisy day and night and we sometimes heard some arguing below our window as there were at least 3 bars right below us. But we are NYers, so got used to it pretty quick. Great boutique resort, was very happy. 1 block away from the Canal Street streetcar and you can walk to the famous St. Charles streetcar as well. We walked to the Aquarium as well. We enjoyed being off Bourbon Street as it can get a little wild! You can also walk to Cafe du Monde and be sure to check out the Pharmacy Museum on Chartres Street - very cool.

This was our second time staying at The Quarter House. I love the French Quarter location because it is convenient to walk to so many area restaurants, shops, and attractions. The decor is authentic to the time period of the building. The staff is always helpful and friendly. The resort offers several events for guests throughout the week. We enjoyed the Taste of New Orleans and the Mardi Gras Party. The food was provided by the Oceana Restaurant and was delicious! My only complaint about staying here is that the noise and cigarette smoke from nearby clubs make their way into parts of the resort at night. Our kitchen did not have an oven, but was otherwise well equipped. The appliances have some age on them but work just fine. The parking garage was $20/day. You pay the resort at checkout. Recommend.

Room Tip: We were on the second floor, front of the building near the clubs. Noise and smoke were problems lat...

I stayed through RCI points program with my early teen son and husband. The hotel was located close to everything. The staff was very helpful in booking excursions and just general knowledge about the area. Our unit was beautiful and spacious. I would note, however, that we saw some that seemed rather small. It was a great vacation!

This boutique style resort sits a few steps from Canal Street in the French Quarter. Great location, very clean. We had room 210, a one-bedroom which faced the courtyard. Relatively quiet, but small for four people. The pull out sofa in the living area barred exit through the front door, which may have been a fire hazard, but was just a nuisance when someone wanted to leave when the late night revelers were sleeping on the sofa bed!

The Sunday morning continental breakfast was great! Lots of goodies and fresh fruit. Two doors down is a great restaurant called Daisy Dukes that serves massive omelets with biscuits and hash browns for a great price.

Things to do: Stroll an evening through the Quarter and listen to the world class musicians who make this city what it is! Blues, rock, jazz, country, balladeer singer/songwriters - all working and jamming within one block! It's a live music lovers' paradise! Just don't forget to tip the bands!

Not to be missed is the National World War II Museum. The powers that be have done an absolutely awesome job with this museum and if you only have one day to spend in NOLA, this is the attraction you should not miss! Set aside 3 hours minimum for this attraction.

Great location in French Quarter, one minute walk to Canal Street and all other attractions in all directions. Room was quiet even though Mardi Gras taking place. Very clean, room large, kitchen well equipped. Staff great and free activities including food and wine. No complaints at all. Highly recommended.

Room Tip: We had room on 4th floor overlooking court yard. Quiet.

Great location, staff helpful, friendly. We own here, but live across the lake and end up staying here numerous times a year. Have stayed at many Interval locations around the country and cannot think of a better spot than the Quarter House!
