The Quarter House is in a great location on Chartres Street a block off Canal Street in the French Quarter. The staff are excellent at welcoming you, recommending restaurants and setting up tours. The Quarter House is a time share condominium complex made up of historic buildings joined together. We stayed in a 2 bedrooms two bath fully furnished unit including an icemaker and washer and dryer. They held two get togethers in the courtyard with appetizers and wine and cheese. There isn't any on site parking, but a car isn't needed to see almost anything in the French Quarter and Garden District. The only drawback is there were only fake windows in the bedroom.

Room Tip: Ask for rooms facing the courtyard. Chartres Street can get noisy.

We recently stayed in a 2 bedroom 2 bath unit at the Quarter House. The rooms were delightful, felt like I was back in Paris, but with all the modern convienieces including a washer and dryer. Daily housekeeping service was a luxury including fresh toiletries restocked daily. The staff couldn't have been more helpful, thank you Shinequa!! Can't wait to go back next year.

Rooms were very cozy especially after a night of drinking....really close to Canal street and the cable cars and close to all the cutest shops in the Quarters....Best part is the service at the hotel and near the famous ACME Oyster House....This place rocks NOLA :0)

My husband and I visit New Orleans at least once a year so we bought a time share at the quarter house. It is for us a great value for the $$$ and a place that we will enjoy forever. I love the ambiance of the quarter house with its exposed brick, period furniture & of course having a condo beats staying in a hotel. There are 2 courtyards in the quarter house, one is small private but beautiful and the other is a good size with a wading pool, statue's, fountains and much more. The quarter house offers Hor D'oeuvres ,wine, & music on Tuesdays at 5 PM I believe and a continental breakfast on Sunday. I was shocked to see that they offered room service every day unlike other time shares I have rented over the years. 5***** at this house!

The Quarter House Resort (built in the late 1800s) has been converted into a timeshare in a prime section of the French Quarter. From check-in on Saturday, Sunday breakfast in the courtyard, the Monday afternoon get together to sample some of New Orleans fabulous cuisine, the Tuesday Mardi Gras party with live music, wine, cheese, fruit and other assorted goodies you are made to feel like you are part of the Quarter House family. The staff are more than accommodating and will be very happy to help with all requests. The housecleaning staff and maintenance crew also make every effort to maintain the absolutely wonderful apartments and grounds. There is also a separate entrance with a ramp for those that need it, along with bars in most apartment bathrooms.

As far as dining is concerned, you almost never have to go more a few blocks in either direction to have fantastic dining experiences: Daisy Dukes (downstairs) serves $8 Bloody Marys with unlimited refills; Huck Finn's (1 block away) has "not to be believed" boudain balls and pan perdu (bread pudding) that is memorable; The Palace Cafe (around the corner) is owned by Dickie Brennan (of the Brennan restaurant family) and is beautiful and the food and service is exceptional. Not to be forgotten, is a quick trip into the heart of the French Quarter to have coffee with chicory and beignets at Cafe DuMonde and a stop at Central Grocery, home of the muffaletta sandwich (closed on Mondays); The Gazebo Restaurant is an open air dining area with superb service, shrimp po'boys, ice cream daiqiris, and live music from wonderful musicians.

Save time to explore New Orleans and Louisiana history with visits to all the museums, tours, rides on the streetcars, a cruise on the Mississippi on the paddle wheel boat, or a carriage ride through the French Quarter.

Whatever you chose to do, enjoy!!!!

Although I've visited New Orleans several times and stayed in a hotel, this was the first time we stayed in a timeshare. We traded into a 2 bedroom, 2 bath unit which was perfect for the 4 of us (2 couples). As others have mentioned, the location was great. We had a car but never used it. Parking is discounted at a lot about 2 blocks away ($20 per day).

The resort had a charm that just speaks of French Quarter New Orleans. The unit was clean and everything was in working order. The front desk staff was great and greeted us by name every time we came in or out.

The pool and hot tub in the courtyard are tiny, but a great place to cool off. We enjoyed sitting out there in the evening and met some great folks who have been timeshare owners at the Quarter House for many years.

As this unit is across the street from the Marriott parking garage, there was no view to speak of from the room. Since we were there to visit the city, it wasn't an issue for us at all.

Room Tip: Units on the 1st and 2nd floor tend to be a little noisier. Also, 1st floor units that face the all...

We are owners at this timeshare and have been for about 10 years. It isn't as modern as some and the rooms can be fairly dark - not surprising as it is an original building modified as a timeshare. The location couldn't be bettered - at the start of Chartres Street in the French Quarter and a block from the river. Staff are, for the most part, friendly and helpful and they throw a few fun events each week for residents - the only problem is that they are fairly over-attended in a small courtyard. Would recommend it if you want to visit New Orleans and walk to everything you want to see.
