We stayed at Elysian Fields in May for our first trip to New Orleans and we will definitely be back! We loved the place and have to agree 100% with all the positive things other are saying. We even liked that we had internet access whenever we wanted in the warm and inviting living room. The inn was an oasis to come back to after sightseeing in the hot weather. We felt like we had privacy and our own apartment in New Orleans which allowed us to pretend like we were real residents for a little while!
Greg and Sal gave us great advice and helped to steer us away from the tourists traps which we dread.
As San Franciscans, we tend to be a little spoiled by all the good food in our city. We were thrilled
by the wonderful breakfasts and evening teas and the fact that we could use the kitchen and refrigerator were a big plus!
Additionally, the neighborhood was hip and cool and nice to get away from the French Quarter. We didn't mind the 10-15 min. walk to get to and from the Faubourg.
We would like to keep the place to ourselves, but we promise to recommend the place only to our good friends!
Thanks Greg and Sal ! -Kirk and Lisa FongMore
