“Super restaurant (so good we went back a second time)”
Reviewed September 18, 2013

We absolutely loved this place. It was moderate in pricing yet had superb food and excellent service. It's casual enough for jeans, yet upscale enough for a dress. It really can go either way. The Gator Bites were moutwatering, as were many other items on the menu. A great place for southern and creole cuisine.

“Great food, but not relaxing”
Reviewed September 16, 2013

The restaurant is a very busy, casual place. The food is excellent, but, the service is very fast and the impression is that they want you out of there in a hurry so they can seat more customers. While I would totally recommend the food as adventurous Cajun cooking,, please do not expect an evening savoring your food. Go for the food and forget the relaxation!

“Delectable food and cool ambience”
Reviewed September 15, 2013

We ordered the short ribs, soft shell crab, beef brisket, and pineapple upside down cake. You can't go wrong in this restaurant. Everything that we had was delicious. The ambience was cool. The servers were all attentive. I would love to go back here if ever we get back to NOLA.

“Delicious & laid back”
Reviewed September 15, 2013

You need to eat here when in NOLA. Delicious food that's influenced but not dictated by the region. Casual, comfortable setting that allows you to enjoy and relax. The best meal we had during our visit. A must: the mac & cheese -- like no other you've ever had.

“The Emperor's New Cochon”
Reviewed September 13, 2013

Expensive, hyped and not worth the money or hype. Four of us had different entrees, all fervently applauded by the reviews we had read. The pulled pork was boring; grilled pork belly was gross. I'm not going to bother with all the dishes, but here's the summary: Dinner rolls were the best part of the meal. In other words, don't bother. Too many other NOLA restaurants leave this one in the dust.
