Our 3-hour city tour was extremely informative and certainly worth the price. We were picked up at our French Quarter hotel right on time and saw a pretty comprehensive overview of the city. Our guide was quite knowledgable and, as a New Orleans native, obviously loved his city. We saw the Garden District, though not the homes that were advertised for the tour, and I wish we had seen Frenchman Street and the Warehouse district. Much of the tour was of the areas hit hardest by Katrina and, while this was extremely interesting and eye-opening, it might have been helpful to see other areas as well. Overall, it was a very good tour.

Our 3 hour bus tour was well worth the price. Our very experienced driver and tour guide, John, was incredibly knowledgeable and his love for the city, her long history and diverse cultures was evident. We learned so much and really enjoyed ourselves. This was a great way to see the city - comfortable and so very convenient as the tour bus picked us up at our hotel took us to various sites around the French Quarter, the Garden District and the upper 9th. The pace was perfect; and the short break for restroom facilities and coffee was appreciated. This truly was a spectacular tour. We had a real taste of the city and a sense of her resilience and renewal following Katrina's devastation through our tour, and even received a great dinner recommendation. We will definitely book the airboat and plantation tours with NOLA tour center on our next visit!

We used NOLA tour center to book our airboat tour, a city tour, riverboat cruise, and ghost tour during our spring break trip to New Orleans. They were very helpful and knowledgeable. We couldn't have asked for better people to welcome us on our first trip to the Big Easy! They made great suggestions for things kids would enjoy-- the airboats/alligator tour was the highlight for our 11 yr old son! We would definitely recommend NOLA tour center when planning your trip.

The City Tour is very good. The tour picks you up at your hotel in the Central Business District or French Quarter. You are in a small comfortable and air conditioned bus of maybe 20 passengers. The tour takes you around New Orleans, and includes the Central Business District (downtown), French Quarter or Vieux Carre (literally old square), Cemetary No. 3, Garden District, Ninth Ward (where Katrina flood waters hit 13 feet and crested at 9 feet), and City Park. Our guide and driver was very informative. We got to learn about "neutral ground means," "shotgun houses," why tombs in NOLA are above ground, why gaming but not gambling is allowed, that you can carry open alcoholic drinks in public and visit a daiquiri drive in, that Lake Pontchartrain is lower than the level of the Mississippi River. You also get to see rebuilding in the Ninth Ward which is slow, and controversial as to whether anybody should even live there as it is significantly below sea level.

We also went on the Swamp Tour on the regular boat and not the airboat. This followed rightr after the City Tour. (There is not much time, a 20 minute break to get some food in a busy cafe). The swamp tour is on the opposite side of the Mississippi at the Bataria Preserve, and you cross the Crescent City bridge across the Mississippi to get there. The swamp area is far different from the images in movies, as it is less dense and lighter during the day though there were many alligators. We also saw turtles, wild birds, shrimp boats docked, airboats (and their smelly exhaust) and thick brush. You get to hold and have a picture with a baby alligator on the boat. The boat operator had a heavy accent that made it difficult for me to understand everything he was saying, but it was very informative and different from most boat tours.

We did the combo tour of the airboat and plantation tour which was a good way to do two things in one day. We did the large airboat which was really fun! The tour guide was knowledgable and funny. The plantation was just ok...we chose this tour bc it was 10:30 to 4:45 rather than an 8am start like many other tour companies. This allowed us to see the dreschan plantation which I don't think is as large as some of the other plantations like Laura or oak Alley. The plantation was small but interesting..tour guide also knowledgable about the history of the home. There were two major traffic incidents which caused us to be extremely delayed in getting back but that was not the fault of the driver
