The Renaissance New Orleans Arts Hotel is centrally located just outside of the French Quarter (approximately an 8-10 minute walk) and smack in the middle of the warehouse/arts district. It's also within 8-10 minutes of some of the finest museums in the city (National World War II Museum) and other venues. During my last visit to New Orleans, we stayed right off Bourbon Street in the French Quarter. While this is seemingly an ideal location, Bourbon Street gets rowdy at night and if you're not out partying it up, restful sleep can be challenging - especially on weekends. Alternatively, the warehouse/arts district, where the Renaissance is located, is surrounded by cozy lounges, wine bars, and restaurants.
The rooms are well-appointed and stylish. Our King bed was comfortable, albeit a bit soft. The fitness center on the fifth floor is great and the outdoor rooftop pool, while a bit small, is amazing for a quick dip and affords some really nice views of the city.
On top of that, the hotel staff is very courteous and the food was quite decent.More
