I really enjoyed my stay here... The rooms are large and clean and the hotel has a very nice pool area outside on the top of the hotel. I also enjoyed the bar / restaurant area. The hotel is far enough away from the French Quarter as to enjoy a different feel of NOLA located in the area where there are Art Galleries and Museums and plenty of awesome local places to eat. The walk to the French quarter is only a couple of blocks but day after day of it and nights out dont wear heels!! comfortable shoes only! The staff friendly and Cory at the front desk very helpful. I would like to suggest Cochon as a place to eat and not very far from the hotel ... Awesome food.. I also liked Lucys across the street for Sunday Breakfast (Cool Kickback place).. Good food and many other choices right in the area... The only reason I gave them 4 out of 5 is that I used a Visa Credit/Debit card to pay my balance of the stay and at no time did anyone mention they take double out of your account and it then gets held for 3-5 days. So they charged my account the same amount twice. That was a little annoying so use a credit credit card. No complimentary breakfast either...

Great location. Walking distance to numerous museums, restaurants, art galleries and the French Quarter. Rooms are very nice and the staff is great. Juri, the valet, was very helpful and was always available to get your vehicle. Some of the most helpful staff I have had in a while. Location is also very quiet.

Need to learn a new neighborhood in NOLA? The Renaissance New Orleans Art provided a modern, comfortable place to relax after a day touring NOLA. The rooms are a good size. The location in the still-renovating arts and gallery district was a good 15 minute walk to the Quarter. But who didn't need to work off those beignets and crawfish. And during the walk there's an opportunity to see new bars, galleries and places that aren't crowded with party-goers. The hotel bar is a destination and the staff was very accommodating with a late dinner and drink.

The location is perfect. Located only blocks away from the French Quarter, the hotel is close to all of the action but away from the noise. Wonderful staff, clean rooms and wonderful suggestions for restaurants in the area. My only complaint was the bed. It was too hard for us. Couldn't wait to return to our comfortable mattress.

This hotel was amazing from start to finish. The front desk staff are courteous, polite and helpful. We loved the decor and proximity to restaurants and entertainment. The hotel rooms are well appointed and quiet. I have a special needs child and the front desk went out of their way to make sure he was comfortable. I highly recommend it!

Staying here made our first trip to New Orleans a very memorable one. Thank you!

(+) Great and friendly staffs, personally I would like to say thank you to Uruy (nice guy from Ukraina-sorry if I misspelled the name), who took an extra miles giving us direction advice and taking care of our car (parking is $34+tax) :). Also thanks to Demi, from the front desk who gave us excellent service. We were very pleased.
(+) Really nice, clean perfect room.
(+) Location. Walking distance to french quarter, kids museum (lousiana kids museum), WWII museum, restaurants. Quite neighborhood compare to the FQ.
(+) Small but lovely roof top pool with an awesome view. The kids enjoyed the pool.

(-) No free internet, and the wi-fi at the lobby was a little bit slow.

We checked at 1:30 AM on a Friday night for a 3 night stay. Of course it was so late that we didn't expect much fanfare but since we did email the hotel that we would be arriving at this time, I would have expected them to put aside a nice room since we are Platinum Marriott rewards members. We were so tired that we just went right to sleep. We had an appointment early the next morning but unfortunately we did not get an opportunity to wake up using our alarm but instead were awoken by noise outside our window. Our room was on the second floor (228) and it turns out that the delivery bay is located directly beneath our room. All morning long trucks pulled up along the curb below our window and we could hear the whirring sound of the garage door opening, the truck door being rolled up, the lift on the truck being lowered and then the continuous rolling of the carts. I called Guest Services and complained but the response was that the entire hotel was sold out for the entire weekend. I was in a rush so I just inquired about breakfast (since I was not informed that we can eat breakfast in the restaurant since there is not an executive lounge in this hotel). We were busy the entire weekend so we just endured the early wakeup for the next morning and then were up and out of the hotel at 5:30AM for a flight on Monday morning. I did upon checkout inform the front desk person that we were unhappy and she was extremely apologetic and told me that they should have moved my room prior to everyone checking in on Saturday and that she had no clue that this was a bad room. She let me know that she was going to inform the manager as soon as they walked in about this. It is now April 11th and I never heard a word from anyone! Interesting way to make sure that your most loyal customers have their problems addressed.

This all aside, I would say that the location and the hotel generally were nice enough to warrant 3 stars.
