“great find!”
Reviewed February 21, 2014

stayed for 5 nights to explore NOLA. suite had fold out sofa for our son. front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. cory the concierge was fantastic, gave us perfect advice on restaurants for our whole stay and mapped them all out for us. really knew the city and gave us honest advice helping find some places not on the typical tourist radar. room was spotless. location is good, short cab ride to french quarter, easy walk to trolleys to explore other corners of town. galleries and restaurants nearby in warehouse district. contemporary decor much appreciated, most of the other hotels in town very traditional and stuffy, didn't feel like wed be comfortable lounging around one of those rooms. the renaissance arts was perfect for us.

Room Tip: suite was great for family, inside room very quiet.

My cousin picked this hotel to celebrate her birthday. It was our first time in New Orleans and we thought the location was just right.
Pros: The staff was excellent (I could repeat that 3X). The room was comfortable. I'm an art fan and loved the sculpture gardens and the glass art. Easy walk to Canal Street, Bourbon Street and the French Quarter
Cons: the internet connection was not the greatest. The breakfast selection was blah..
Overall, I would recommend this hotel! The staff and location would make me return to this hotel :-)

We had a recent meeting that had been scheduled there and all in all the premises did an excellent job of catering to all of our needs for each meeting along with breakfast and lunch. Our personal hotel room was very smart but yet cozy and stayed warm and pleasurable duing a recent cold snap. The staff was excellent and most kind and helpful with every request. I am a big "city walker", preferring to have the city within easy walking distance for all of my activities so this was perfect in location to the business district, the convention center and the Quarter.

While the rooms were certainly acceptable, there were some strange things about them, like a closet door that closed by itself while you tried to hang up your clothes, or, if open, got in the way of the room door; no towel rack outside of the shower, although there was room if they removed the weird piece of glass art over the toilet. No clock or clock radio; and when we asked to have our car brought around by the valet, they twice said they hadn't been informed, or we hadn't called. This made us a bit crazy, which they picked up on and left our car in front of the hotel for the rest of the visit!

Nice area, quiet and a 15 minute walk to the french quarter. Gave us water bottles, which was nice.

breakfast overpriced!

The Renaisance Arts in New Orleans is a great location if you re going to any meeting in the New Orleans Convention Center. It's a three to four block walk from the hotel. the hotel does not have a concierge level so if you are a Marriott elite member yo get a full breakfast at no cost. This is a great bonus. If your lucky enough to have Ana wait on you for breakfast, it's a bonus. Will definitely stay here again

We admired the various pieces of art located throughout the hotel. Room service food was about a C. Go out if you can. Maids tended to shout conversations with each other while making up rooms. Over all a good stay though. We would return.

We came for a short business trip and stayed on for a few days. Nice, quiet hotel. Pleasant staff. Nice decor. They did an excellent job for the meetings. Within walking distance to the French Quarter. Concierge level was actually in the restaurant so that was strange, but they offered light food and drinks. It just didn't feel like a retreat. Valet parking is $38 a day. Aveda toiletries.
